More than a portal for human rights news, ConectaSur is a collaborative space for human rights activists and academics from Africa, Asia and Latin America, members of the Networks HRDialogue – Southern Human Rights Activists Network and Sur – Human Rights University Network.
At ConectaSur, each member of the HRDialogue and Sur can create its personal webpage (profile) which allows communication and information sharing with the other members of the networks.
More than that, the profiles give the chance to put the human rights activists and academics in contact with potential partners and international organizations, especially with United Nations (UN) programs and agencies.
ConectaSur Portal is facilited by Conectas Human Rights, a non-governmental organization founded in 2001, based in São Paulo – Brazil, which seeks to strengthen the individual and collective impact of human rights activists and scholars working throughout the Global South by forging connections among them and increasing their interaction with the United Nations.
